I'm Ajak Johnson, a nonprofit consultant from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

I'm a nonprofit strategist based in Milwaukee, supporting mission-based organizations as they find or diversify their funding, build strong projects and programs that create measurable impact, and helping groups eliminate their biggest liability - opportunity cost - by doing the work that's been sitting on the back burner for a minute (or two, or three). I step into roles where leaders can achieve their dreams and goals knowing that there's another set of hands on the wheel to help steer.

I've handled projects of all shapes and sizes. Across my work, I've led both smaller rural NGOs and national organizations with dozens of staff. I've led trainings for two people and two-hundred, managed four figure budgets and six figure budgets, and led development operations that needed gas in the tank to get going.

I've also done the work that makes the work work - ironing the tablecloths before an event, turning your franken-spreadsheet into a CRM that makes your fundraising take off, or hitting the road to film a documentary halfway through shooting.
